OpenOffice.org: Home A nice alternative to Word. Most importantly: free. It's also been causing some sort of controversy as to whether or not it should be used for education. Personally, I like the idea.
Now, in addition to posting useful information, I'm also going to post my links for the day. Not all of them will be good - it'll just be where I've been. A wide assortment of them will be off Slashdot, Google News, Worst Hour... wherever, really.
Second Life : Your World. Your Imagination. This is a cool example of a "Metaverse". Myles was freaking out about it before, waving his hands around and such - apparently it will take the Everquest phenomenon to the next level. That of course will beg the question, which life is your first, and which one is your second?

This has been a LOUSY week, and it's only Monday. My WPI bill continues to grow, to the point where I think I'll have it paid off sometime in between now and when the earth is consumed by the red giant Sol. Assuming, of course, that someone is willing to pay for an overpriced American engineer.
